About

OrbisRepo is the organisation behind five connected platforms for official public records. It is founded and run by Leopold Siccama Hiemstra.

Five platforms, one ecosystem

OrbisRepo is not a single product. It is the shared identity for PoliticalRepo, GovernanceRepo, JuristicRepo, StatisticsRepo and RepoAnalyser: political records, public administration, law, statistics, and the layer that sets them side by side.

PoliticalRepo was the first platform to go online. The others followed (or are planned) because a decision rarely lives in one archive alone: parliament, law, government and official figures belong together when you want to understand what happened.

Where it comes from

The work started with a practical problem: comparing how countries handle the same political topic meant jumping between national websites, formats and languages. PoliticalRepo was built to put official parliamentary records in one place, always with the original source.

Building that made the wider gap obvious. Legislation, case law, government information and official statistics were still scattered. OrbisRepo names that wider ambition and keeps each domain in its own platform instead of forcing everything into one generic database.

Where it stands

Four platforms are online with uneven coverage. GovernanceRepo is planned and has no data or website yet. Leopold develops the projects alongside his Public Administration studies in the Netherlands. Plenty will still change; this site says so rather than pretending otherwise.
